Born Learning

The Community Partnership for Children actively participates in the Born Learning campaign, a nationwide effort to spread the word about simple ways parents and other caregivers can help children learn and grow.

born-learningIn 2013, the first Born Learning Trail in our community was opened at the Brown County Central Library in Green Bay. The trail is free and open to the public! The trail is designed to help adults interact with young children to increase language and literacy development. It captures ten fun outdoor games on engaging signs (in English and Spanish), each including activities such as interactive storytelling which builds a child’s ability to imagine and listen.

A second Born Learning Trail is set to open at the Southwest Branch Library by fall 2014. For more information on the Born Learning Trails or how you can help bring a trail to your neighborhood, contact Ashley VandenBoomen.

Born Learning also produces a great Your Child newsletter series. Download free copies of the newsletters for information about each major stage of children’s development from birth through age five:


School Readiness Growth Chart: This interactive chart is an educational tool for parents of children up to age five, providing real-world examples of stages of development. Email Jill to obtain free child-size copies.
