The Community Partnership for Children (CPC) is grounded in the knowledge that all children’s experiences during their first five years are critical to their later success in school, the workforce and everyday life. In fact, up to 90% of a child’s brain development occurs before age five. The foundations for language development, cognitive skills and the ability to develop positive social relationships are established during this time.
To create positive “Statisticks” for lasting change, we have to get to the root of issues. The United Way and it’s partners built the CPC for that purpose. This is a story about friendship, community and overcoming the challenges of an at-risk childhood.
